Clear answers to your accounting & tax questions.
The things people most often ask before working with us. If your question isn't here, just ask — we'll answer it the same way.
Working with us for the first time
Every engagement begins with a free 30-minute consultation. We'll talk through your situation, then send a fixed-fee proposal covering exactly what's included before any work begins.
Most engagements start within a week of the proposal being signed — onboarding typically takes 3–5 business days depending on how your current records are kept.
Yes, completely hassle-free. We handle the entire professional clearance process and document retrieval directly with your outgoing accountant. You won't have to manage awkward conversations or worry about tax deadlines being missed during the transition.
Both. We support individuals with personal tax and planning, and businesses of all sizes — from solo entrepreneurs and Partnerships to Sendirian Berhad (Sdn Bhd) companies requiring statutory audits.
What you'll pay and when
Every engagement starts with a fixed-fee proposal based on scope — a monthly retainer for ongoing bookkeeping and advisory, or a project fee for one-off work like audits or incorporations. No hourly billing surprises.
No setup or onboarding fees for clean accounts. If your historical books are behind or require catch-up bookkeeping, we will perform a quick health check and provide a fixed-price cleanup quote upfront before any work begins.
Yes — as your transaction volume or needs grow, we'll review and adjust the plan together. No lock-in contracts.
Prices shown are exclusive of 8% Service Tax (SST) where applicable. Our SST registration number and detailed tax line items will be clearly stated on every official tax invoice.
What we do and how we work
Not necessarily — they're separate services and can be taken on their own. Many clients use us for both so there's one point of contact for compliance, but there's no requirement to bundle them.
We work with cloud accounting platforms including Xero and QuickBooks, and can set one up for you as part of onboarding if you aren't using one yet.
For ongoing clients, monthly — you'll receive management accounts and a check-in rather than waiting until year-end. You also have a direct line to your accountant between those points.
Yes. Tax audit representation is part of our tax service — we'll correspond with the authorities on your behalf and prepare the supporting documentation.
Documents, access and confidentiality
It depends on the service, but typically bank statements, sales and purchase invoices, payroll records, and access to your existing accounting system. We'll send a specific checklist during onboarding.
Yes. Client information is treated as strictly confidential and is only shared with third parties where required by law or with your written consent.
No — most of our work is handled remotely, including document exchange and meetings. You're welcome to meet in person if you'd prefer.
